CULINARY TRADITIONS OF CUBA

On a trip to Cuba, we do not miss the chance to taste the typical dishes of the country. Cuban cuisine is, of course, the fruit of the union of several different nations gathered on the island since the nineteenth century. Cuba is indeed a mixture of Spanish customs to those of mixed Aboriginal and African people. Immigration late Asians and Yucatan has also made great influence to the culinary traditions of Cuba.

The national dish of the country is Ajiaco Creole, a legume, vegetables and various different types of meat simmered together for several hours. Cubans vary each time the choice of ingredients for the recipe, which offers a wide variety of tastes for the same dish.

It is not only trying Ajiaco Creole during a trip to Cuba because Cubans have more than one trick in their bag. Cubans are also strong supporters of los Greaves and pork hash.

In a typical Cuban dinner, we do not put aside the glory of the cuisine which is El Congrés, a stew of rice with red beans often with pork roast or fried. It also accompanies this dish, delicious salcochada cassava, seasoned with a touch of orange, sweet and sour and garlic, or the famous dish, cited above, of shredded green plantains with fists that las-called tostones or Chatinos. In another time during your trip to Cuba, you can end up with a so-called Cuban dinner, which consists of a bowl of rice with chicken, some tamalitos, or those who
